Ha! Just kidding..."

but really!

I got to the hospital around 1030 pm, they checked me and said I was 3 cm and I was asked if I wanted an epidural and I was all "yeah, sure." Pretty calm about the whole thing well it took about 2.5 hours for the anesthesiologist to get to me because the hospital was so busy. They hooked it all up and I was so scared because I was shaking pretty violently but the guy was a pro and I had no problems other than laying flat because I felt so nauseous! My doctor checked me just after the epidural was all set up and I was already at a 9!

I felt lots of pressure when each contraction came but it really wasn't all that bad! It only took me 10 days to completely shake off the feeling of labor and say "I can do this again in a couple years." The biggest fear ...This is a great series, Hollie!

The biggest fear I had was someone putting a needle into my spine, which I'm sure is what most people are scared of too. But even before I went into labor, I had decided I could do anything for a minute if it meant that my pain would go away. I've had paper cuts that hurt worse than the administration of the local anesthetic.

My experience both times was positive!
