The Birthday Crunch is quickly approaching.

Seems like I've made lots of birthday cards here recently. The card pictured above was for my niece Mary Elizabeth.

My mom's birthday is Cinco De Mayo, and this is her card.

And then the backside of the card. Hopefully Mom wont see this before Monday!

So there are many family and friend birthdays over the next 3 months... May, June, and July are busy months!!! One such birthday thrown in there just happens to be my own. (fancy that!) Feel free to get me a 2008 Nissan Xterra SE (midnight blue, please.) or a new lens for my camera! ;)

Ok. Back to reality. So I am technically on-call right now, but for some strange and miraculous reason, I'm not at work. I totally woke up at 6 this morning waiting on a phone call... that never came. So, now it's 10 and I'm still at home. I still work the next 3 days, but 3 in a row doesnt stress me nearly as much as 4. I'm sure Jordan appreciates it as well, although i'm usually grumpy when I get home no matter how many days I work. I've still got a long stretch of time and I'll bet a large sum of money that at some point I'll end up at the hospital. I've heard of people being called in as late as 4pm before. Ridiculous. I'll just work on baby announcements til then.

I watched 27 Dresses last night with Greg, Kelli, Eli (who slept the entire movie), Janie and Jane (Kelli's mom and grandma). It was really cute- a few obvious "plot twists" and stale dialogue, but the good looking guys more than made up for any flaws in the script. haha :)

Kelli & Greg

Here's a few pictures of a shoot I did recently with some sweet seminary friends.

This is Kelli's nursery-- notice the bedding-- she made it ALL herself! Amazing!!!

We had a lot of fun, and it ended up being great timing! Sweet baby boy Eli made his way into the world just days later. (Keep an eye out for some baby pics here soon.) Thanks to Kelli and Greg for being guinea pigs as I continue to perfect my craft.

Today's the day to start new. I feel like I attempted several "new" things today. Like, I attempted my new diet plan... which was quickly put asunder when I went to see the McElroys.... double stuf oreos and Blue Bell?? -think good thoughts- I did successfully go to the gym today and I ate fairly well the rest of the day,  so we'll write today off as a draw.

I am not journaling about my dietary indiscretions.

I've been working hard on baby announcements this week-- pictures soon to follow-- I dont remember the last time I made something purely for myself. Somewhere in this time I need to make a few mother's day cards and a birthday card for my mom. I'm also really getting interested in seeing what my camera can actually do. Look again soon for recent work. I just love taking pictures for people, like I dont ever think of this as being anything more than a hobby... although there are a few fabulous new lenses that I neeeeeed. :)
